St. Christopher's Hospital for Children is seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner in our Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit to join our team.
Highlights:
- You will join a team of 10 Physicians, 2 Nurse Practitioners, and 1 Physician Assistant
- The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) serves multiple roles.
- On weekdays (7:30A to 4:30P) the NNP will be the frontline provider for 8 patients. They will be expected to examine their patients, write a progress note, present a plan on rounds and follow up with the care plan in the afternoon
- On night shifts (4:30P to 7:30A) the NNP will be on call with the attending neonatologist and pediatric resident.
- Although experience with common neonatal procedures is a plus, we will train the NNP to become proficient in intubation, arterial blood draws, umbilical line and IV placements. We have a robust training and orientation program for new graduates, including simulation. We are looking for dedicated, hard-working, enthusiastic team members who are excited to care for the unique neonatal population.
