Description
American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for a pediatric imaging department at a newly built Level II trauma facility, with ARRT and BLS certification required.
Details
- Pediatric imaging department at a newly built (May 2026) Level II trauma facility with 152 total beds, including 70 NICU beds, in Tacoma, WA
- Patient population is exclusively pediatric, ages 0–18, covering all types and diagnoses
- Uses Siemens Magnetom Sola with Deep Resolve processing
- Schedule includes Sunday 12H Days (6:00 AM–6:30 PM), Monday and Tuesday 8H Mids (12:00 PM–8:30 PM), and Saturday 12H Days (6:00 AM–6:30 PM)
- 40 hours per week
- No floating required
- Weekend coverage dependent upon shift assigned
- On-call is possible but limited to off-hours and weekends, capped at no more than 24 hours per month
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of MRI Technologist experience required; pediatric experience preferred
- ARRT (R) and either ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required
- Current BLS required
- Washington State license required if applicable
- Proficiency with MRI equipment and ability to produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Strong communication skills, multitasking ability, and patience when working with pediatric patients and their families
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Perform MRI scans on pediatric patients ranging from newborns to 18 years of age across all diagnoses
- Two professional references required prior to start date; one reference may be submitted at time of consideration (must be from a supervisor or above, such as Charge Nurse, Manager, or Director)
- Scrubs of any color are acceptable
- Free garage and street parking available on-site; local light rail is an alternative if parking is difficult
